Hey friends, I haven’t been posting much lately. I’m very sorry about that. At the moment I am spending a lot of time with my local IT setup. One of my latest discoveries is wanderer.to: “wanderer is a self-hosted trail database. You can upload your recorded GPS tracks or create new ones and add various metadata to build an easily searchable catalogue”. This is pretty cool, especially as I started writing something like this for my own over a year ago, but never really finished it. It looks quite promising.
Anyway! Last weekend I went back into my Lightroom catalogue and found a photo from the same area as the last post. I looked through the photos from the walk with a smile as it brought back a lot of memories. However, there were no mountain or landscape images from that day that I felt were worth sharing. It was a great day – no doubt – but some walks just don’t bring epic views.
However, one photo did catch my eye. This photo of a dead branch. With traces of woodworms along the trunk. I took the photo on the way when I saw these pieces of dead wood along the way. I was fascinated by the texture of the trunk and thought it might make an interesting subject. And indeed – I still find it interesting! Maybe the branch on the top left is a bit too distracting – I’m not sure yet. But I thought it was worth sharing with you. I hope you like it.
