In the last blog post “Embracing the Elements: A Frosty Photo Journey“, I already wrote about a great day that I had in the mountains with a couple of stunning photos. (go check it out!)
During that day I also recorded a couple of video clips with both my mobile and the camera. But – to be honest, I hesitated to make a video from it because I was intimidated by all the very cool hiking and photography video makers out there. On the other hand, when I edited and published the last blog post, I really enjoyed watching the video footage! And almost every day since publishing I thought about sharing those videos, because I liked them so much!
Yesterday evening I dropped my hesitation! I decided that it’s simply too overambitious to make a super cool video. Let’s just face the facts: I don’t have the experience, enough footage, no idea about the music and not the time (and ambition) to record proper voice overlay again. And you only improve by practicing. So I sat down, opened the video software and started editing while having a couple of tutorials open.
And what should I say? With realistic expectations and a “Let’s just start and get used to it”-mindset, it started to be quite some fun! Enjoy this day together with me again. 🙂
