2021-2022 marked a pivotal era with the rise of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). Riding the wave of excitement, I, too, ventured into the NFT space, showcasing and selling my photography. It was an interesting experience that not only exposed my work to a broader audience but also introduced me to a vibrant community of like-minded creatives.
The NFT hype brought forth a surge of interest and engagement in my photography. I connected with fellow artists, collectors, and enthusiasts who shared a passion for the intersection of technology and creativity. The NFT community allowed for new connections and collaborations that went beyond the traditional art market.
However, as the NFT space continued, I found myself at a crossroads. Multiple factors led me to make the decision to step back from actively promoting NFTs in 2023. In the spirit of adapting to change, I removed all NFT-related links from my website, signaling a pause in this aspect of my artistic journey.
Now, I took a definitive step by burning all unsold NFTs and delisting any offered editions. This symbolic act represented a closure to that chapter of my artistic exploration. The decision to remove these digital tokens from circulation wasn’t taken lightly, but it reflects my commitment to adapting to change.
As I close this chapter, the question lingers: will I return to the NFT space? The answer remains uncertain. While the experience was valuable, my evolving artistic priorities lead me to refrain from investing time and money in NFTs, at least for the time being. The future is unwritten, and my artistic journey will continue to unfold organically.
